The Design

The obverse design features the Coat of Arms of Niue, a self-governed country associated with New Zealand. The information engraved around the Seal refers to the coin’s face value and the year of issuance.

The reverse portrays a frontal close-up of a Ram. The Hebrew lettering “ישוע” above the animal’s illustration means Yeshua (Jesus) and identifies it as the Lamb or Son of God.

The inscriptions beneath it refer to the coin's weight, metal content, and purity. As a trademark, the series has a hidden message of the Scriptures micro-engraved on the animal’s horn.
