2025-(P) PCGS GEM BU One of First 50,000 Issued Eagle Privy 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin
The 2025 Eagle Privy Silver Eagle is a historic addition to the American Silver Eagle series. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a total mintage of just 500,000 coins, this release marks only the second time a privy mark has appeared on a U.S. Mint bullion Silver Eagle. This year’s privy, the Eagle Privy, honors the national bird and makes the 2025 issue the first-ever Silver Eagle to feature two unique eagle designs—a true “Double Eagle” Silver Eagle.
Now available at SD Bullion, this coin has been graded GEM Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) by PCGS and designated as “One of First 50,000 Issued,” verifying that it was part of the earliest coins struck and released from the Philadelphia Mint. This designation adds an extra layer of collectibility to an already limited and highly anticipated release.

The Design
The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design, first introduced in 1916. Lady Liberty moves confidently toward the rising sun, the American flag wrapped around her shoulders and an olive branch in hand. For this special edition, the design is accented with the Eagle Privy Mark, positioned near the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” adding a distinct visual and collectible element to this classic motif.
The reverse showcases Emily Damstra’s bold Bald Eagle design, introduced in 2021. The eagle descends with widespread wings, clutching an oak branch in its talons. Surrounding inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
A PCGS GEM BU “One of First 50,000 Issued” Coin
Graded by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), this coin is certified as GEM Brilliant Uncirculated (BU), indicating a well-struck coin with excellent luster and minimal marks visible to the naked eye. The “One of First 50,000 Issued” label confirms that this coin was received early in the release cycle and identified by PCGS as part of the first 50,000 pieces struck and released from the Philadelphia Mint.
Early-issued coins often carry added appeal due to sharper strikes and their connection to the beginning of a coin’s production run—making this a premium choice for collectors seeking top-quality bullion issues.
