The United States Mint has once again made history with the release of the 2025 Eagle Privy 1 oz American Silver Eagle—only the second bullion Silver Eagle ever to feature a special privy mark. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin was struck with the brand-new highly detailed Eagle Privy on the obverse. Following the 2024 Star Privy release, the Eagle Privy has a limited mintage of only 500,000 making it one of the most anticipated and lowest mintage releases in the Silver Eagle series.

The American Silver Eagle remains the most trusted and widely collected silver bullion coin in the world. The addition of a privy mark—a subtle but defining feature traditionally used to create limited sub-issues—enhances both the scarcity and the collectible value of this coin.

The Design

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic “Walking Liberty” design, depicting Lady Liberty enveloped in the American flag as she strides toward the rising sun. 

One arm is outstretched in a welcome gesture, while the other carries oak and laurel branches, symbolizing strength and victory. 

This side also includes the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” the year of issue, the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and a distinctive Eagle Privy mark positioned to the right.

The reverse displays the 35th-anniversary Bald Eagle design, showing the majestic bird perched on a branch with its wings partially spread. 

Surrounding inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” “FINE SILVER,” and the national motto, “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
