The Gold Maple Leaf Series is a highly versatile coin collection that offers a range of silver and gold coin sizes and finishes.

A smaller fraction of gold tends to offer investment diversity, easier storage, transportation, and liquidity. In response to this demand, the Royal Canadian Mint has introduced the Gold Maplegram 25™ Coin Sheet. 

This innovative sheet features 25 individual one-gram gold coins, each in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, arranged in separate blister packs. This allows the maintenance of the entire set or detaching the individual packs without compromising the integrity of the remaining coins. 

Every coin in this set is a Gold Maple Leaf, crafted from 999.9 pure gold, bearing legal tender status with a 50-cent denomination, and adorned with the series’ standard motif.

The Design

The obverse showcases the official effigy of King Charles III, designed by Steven Rosati. It is accompanied by the coin’s face value and year of issuance. The inscriptions read: “CHARLES III,” “50 CENTS,” and “2025.”

The reverse displays Walter Ott’s Sugar Maple Leaf design. Additional inscriptions are in English and French, describing the coin’s origin, metal content, fineness, and weight through “CANADA,” “9999,” “FINE GOLD,” “1g,” and “OR PUR.”

A small maple leaf lies on the lower right with the last two digits of the mintage year “25” micro-engraved, and radial lines cover the background surface on both sides, adding to the coin’s security features.
