The Design

The obverse of these coins features the Coat of Arms of Niue, the coin’s denomination, and the year of mintage.

The reverse depicts a battle sword before a shield. As hiding part of a message from the Scriptures is a trademark of the series, the micro-engraved inscription is on the sword's hilt.

The Hebrew lettering “רוח קודש” on the shield means “Holy Spirit.” 

The inscriptions “ONE TROY OUNCE” and “9999 FINE SILVER” are surrounded by a framed belt and describe weight, purity, and metal content. 

The whole reverse design is encircled by thorny vines on the border, resembling a crown of thorns.
