The Design
The obverse depicts the National Seal of Niue, the coin’s denomination, and the year of mintage.
The reverse showcases the Sword of Truth design, which displays a battle sword before a shield.
As hiding part of a message from the Scriptures is a trademark of the series, the micro-engraved inscription is on the sword's hilt. And the Hebrew lettering “רוח קודש” on the shield means “Holy Spirit.”
The engraving “ONE TROY OUNCE” and “9999 FINE SILVER” are encircled by a framed belt and refer to weight, purity, and metal content.
The whole reverse image is surrounded by a circle of thorny vines on the border, resembling a crown of thorns.
An interesting detail in this design is the tip of the sword piercing a snake.
