Celebrating King Charles III’s coronation as the new leader of the British Commonwealth Community, the Royal Canadian Mint introduces the Treasure Maple Leaf limited edition in 2024.

It comprises three different one-ounce silver coins and a tenth-ounce gold coin, with exclusive privy marks: the Congratulations, the Year of the Dragon.

This 1/10 oz gold coin features the Polar Bear privy mark, along with the characteristic maple leaf and, for the first time, King Charles III’s effigy.

Standard to all Maple Leaf Coins, this one also encompasses advanced security measures and highly pure gold content.

Contains 1/10 oz of .9999 pure gold;
Among those minted in the first production days - First Strike coins;
Produced by the Royal Canadian Mint in a limited strike of 5,000 units;

The Design

The 2024 Maple Leaf Coins debut the new obverse design with King Charles III, created by artist Steven Rosati’s depiction. Besides the monarch’s name on top, the engravings relate to the coin’s denomination and issuance through “5 DOLLARS 2024.”

The traditional Walter Ott’s Maple Leaf reverse design is completed with “CANADA” on top and the coin’s weight, metal content, and fineness in English and French. They read: “9999 FINE GOLD 1/10 OZ OR PUR 9999.”

The Polar Bear privy mark is encircled on the lower left.
