2023-W NGC MS-70 1 oz American Gold Eagle Burnished Coin - Edmund C. Moy Label
The U.S. Gold Eagle coin symbolizes American heritage and financial stability, making it one of the most sought-after gold coins in the world. Introduced in 1986 as part of the American Eagle Program, it is backed by the U.S. government for weight, content, and purity.
The US Mint extended the Gold Eagle Collection by adding fractional sizes and different coin finish options, including burnished versions.
These Burnished Silver Eagles, identified by the “W” mint mark, were produced at the West Point Mint. The blanks underwent a specialized burnishing process to remove impurities, resulting in a matte finish that enhances the coin's intricate details.
In addition, they were certified by NGC and sealed with the Edmond C. Moy Label, paying homage to the 38th Director of the U.S. Mint. Known as the Father of the Modern Coin Era, Moy served from 2006 to 2011, driving innovative designs and overseeing the creation of renowned series such as the 24k Gold Buffalo and the 2009 Ultra High Relief coin. His leadership propelled U.S. coinage to new heights, sparking global interest and setting milestones in gold and silver production.
Today, SD Bullion offers 2023-W 1 oz Burnished American Gold Eagles, certified by NGC as an MS-70 coin, and sealed with NGC Edmond C Moy Label.
