2023 PCGS MS-70 First Day Of Issue 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coin
Gold Eagles are the official gold coin in the US and one of the debuting coins of the American Eagles Program, first struck in 1986.
The 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle has the same visual features as the 1 oz version and the other fractional sizes: Lady Liberty on the obverse as designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, and the new reverse design of an intricately detailed bald eagle on the reverse, created by Jennie Norris.
These coins, in particular, are 1/2 oz Gold Eagles, taken from those the US Mint made available for purchase on day #1.
Today, at SD Bullion, you can purchase First Day of Issue 2023 1/2 oz Gold Eagles, sealed in PCGS slabs and graded as perfect MS-70 coins.
