The Design

The obverse features King Charles III for the first time. His Majesty’s effigy is a creation of Martin Jennings, consisting of an elegant left-profile bust.

The inscriptions around the image are “CHARLES III,” “100 POUNDS,” and “D.G.REX.F.D.,” which stands for “Dei Gracia Rex,” by the Grace of God, King, in Latin.

The reverse showcases the Bull of Clarence. The Heraldic Bull is displayed behind the Tudor Rose shield and encircled by “BULL OF CLARENCE. 1 oz. FINE PLATINUM. 999.5. 2023.”

The background surface on both sides is a chainmail animation texture, which provides additional security to the coin.
