The Design

The black rhodium-plated coin has a darker tone but also sharpens the design's intricate details, making them more evident in contrast with the luster background of the proof finish.

The reverse design, in which two aliens are boarding their rocket ship, one wearing battle gear, the other in a more natural appearance, gets a special touch through the Alien's colored green eyes that reflect UV light. The only engraving on this side is the coin’s name, inscribed on top: “INVASION IS HERE.”

The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of Ghana in the middle of a cosmic pattern. Ghana is the nation that ensures the series’ legal tender status. 

The inscriptions “REPUBLIC OF GHANA,” “2023,” “1 TROY OUNCE,” “999 FINE SILVER,” and “20 CEDIS” correspond to the coin’s legal tender, year of issuance, weight, fineness, metal content, and face value.
