This coin is the fifth coin in the series and each release has been popular among customers for its cute design and superb quality. Next Generation Series

Each coin in the collection will feature an iconic Australian wildlife mother and infant. The reverse of the first issue in the series features a pair of koalas, while the second features a crocodile and her infant. The third featured the Kookaburra and her young and the fourth coin featured a platypus pair. The Dingo is featured because it is a part of the ancient Australian lineage of canines. Dingos are protective and intelligent mothers to their pups.

Coin Highlights:

  • “Piedfort” style, meaning it is thicker than a typical 2 oz coin;

Design

The designs of the coins in the Next Generation Series are some of the customers' favorites because of their cute designs and unique appearance. The reverse features a Dingo and her pup sitting in a field of flowers. The detail of the minting brings the scene to life. The “P” mintmark can be found on the left side of the coin.

The obverse is similar to all of the Next Generation coins. The newest effigy of Queen Elizabeth II can be found on the obverse face of all Australian Silver Coins. This side also has the coin's specifications of "2oz 9999 Ag,” and “2 Dollars.”
