2017 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins
The year 1935 saw the introduction of the very first circulating Canadian silver dollar. Its release intended to mark King George V’s Silver Jubilee celebrations. These 2017 1 oz Canadian Silver 150th Anniversary Voyageur Coins feature the ‘Voyageur’ design that appeared on Canadian Silver Dollars struck between 1935 and 1986.

Royal Canadian Mint, the coins celebrate a historic milestone in Canadian history. This famous Canadian mint was founded in 1908, and was originally called the Ottawa Mint.
Each of these Voyageur coins contains 1 troy ounce of 0.9999 pure silver. Moreover, the Canadian government backs these coins – indicated by the legal tender value of $5 (CAD) assigned to them.
Susanna Blunt’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse side, accompanied by the year of issue and the coin’s face value.
The reverses of these coins display a depiction of a canoe carrying furs, with a voyager paddling at the stern and an aboriginal paddling at the bow. This image first appeared on the silver coins struck in celebration of King George V’s Silver Jubilee. Eminent sculptor - Emanuel Hahn, originally created the image for use on the 1935 silver coins.
