2013-P NGC SP-69 Early Releases 5 oz America The Beautiful White Mountain Burnished Silver Coin
The America The Beautiful Quarter Program debuted in 2010 in the numismatic realm. That inaugural year, the US Mint released five silver coins weighing 5 Troy ounces of 99.9% pure silver, showcasing iconic American parks, monuments, and forests.
The series followed that pace until 2021, accounting for 56 silver coins.
The White Mountain Coin is the first release of the 2013 edition and the 16th overall in the series.
The White Mountain National Forest, spanning New Hampshire and Maine, offers distinctive and remarkably scenic landscapes. It is one of America’s most popular national forests due to its diverse recreational activities and abundant natural resources. Among its notable attractions is Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the northeastern United States and east of the Mississippi River. Established as a national site in 1918, it remains a cherished destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
These particular coins are burnished samples purchased from the US Mint within the first 30 days of their official release. They also bear the “P” mint mark, indicating the Philadelphia Mint issued them.
At SD Bullion, you can acquire 2013-P 5 oz America The Beautiful White Mountain Burnished Silver Coins, sealed and certified by NGC as SP-69 Early Releases coins.

The reverse Mt. Chocorua, the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range, framed by birch trees. The image is encircled by "WHITE MOUNTAIN," "NEW HAMPSHIRE," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and “2013.”
Burnished Coins
A Burnished Coin results from a “burnishing” process, hence the name. It essentially means that the blanks are cleaned from all oxides formed during the annealing and rimming process. This way, burnished coins get a satin look and a smooth surface but less reflective luster than the Proof version.
An NGC SP-69 Early Releases Coin
Like other third-party services, Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) appraises and grades coins according to the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
SP-69 stands for Specimen-69, which describes a hybrid between Mint State and Proof with nearly imperceptible imperfections.
NGC considers “Early Releases” a coin purchased from its original mint within the first 30 days of its public release.
