The San Francisco Mint is one of them, responsible for producing the first strike of American Silver Eagles in 1986, and is one of the largest producers of collectible coins in the US.

The American Eagle Coin Series

The US Mint introduced the American Silver Eagles in the market in 1986.

In 2021 the Program celebrated its 35th anniversary by releasing a new reverse design to the American Silver Eagle Coin. However, this roll contains coins with the original reverse design by John Mercanti.

The Design

The 2013 Silver Eagle reverse design displays the heraldic eagle around a shield. The eagle has the banner “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in its beak, arrows, and oak branches in its talons. The stars above its head represent the Thirteen Original Colonies.

The inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” is on the upper rim, while “1 oz. FINE SILVER,” “ONE DOLLAR,” referring to the coin’s weight, metal content, and the monetary denomination, are on the bottom.

The obverse showcases the Walking Liberty by Adolph A. Weinman. Lady Liberty walks toward the sun while she carries olive and oak branches. She has the American flag draped on her shoulder and stretches her arm in a welcome sign. “LIBERTY” is on top, arching over her, the year of mintage lies beneath her, and the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is on the lower left.

The MintCertified™ Premium Uncirculated Sealed Tubes

The tubes contain twenty Premium Uncirculated 2013 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins produced only in the San Francisco facility of the US Mint. After being certified there, the coins are placed in a strapped box and immediately sealed with a plastic sleeve so the coins remain untouched during the whole packing process.
