The reverse features Miley Busiek’s illustration of a family of Bald Eagles, which depicts a female Bald Eagle cherishing her hatchling under her wing while the male Eagle perches their nest. 

It contains the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the mottos “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The coin’s weight, metal content, and face value are at the bottom, and it reads: “1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD—25 DOLLARS.”
