2010 PCGS MS-69 DMPL First Strike 5 oz America the Beautiful Yosemite Silver Coin
In 2010, the U.S. Mint launched the America The Beautiful Quarter Program, a distinctive series of five-ounce silver coins highlighting the nation's natural beauty and rich history.
The Yosemite Silver Coin was the third release of that year and in the overall program.
Yosemite National Park, one of the earliest wilderness preserves in the U.S., is renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls. It was designated a national preservation site in California in 1890, covering nearly 1,200 square miles of deep valleys, expansive meadows, and ancient giant sequoias.
SD Bullion offers 2010 5 oz America the Beautiful Yosemite Silver Coins, purchased from the US Mint within the first 30 days of their official release, sealed and certified by PCGS as MS-69 coins.

The reverse depicts El Capitan, which rises more than 3,000 feet above the valley floor and is the largest monolith of granite in the world. Accompanying Inscriptions read “YOSEMITE,” “CALIFORNIA,” “2010,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
A PCGS MS-69 DMPL “First Strikes” Coin
Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) works independently of sovereign mints. It evaluates and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which rates coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition.
PCGS calls “First Strikes” the coins purchased from the original mint within the first 30 days of the official release and submitted to its appraisal.
MS stands for Mint State. Mint State coins are shaped as business coins. Grade 69 is attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
According to PCGS, DMPL stands for Deep Mirror Proof-Like and refers to coins struck for circulation but with unusual mirror-like fields and frosted design details that are very similar to Proof coins.
