1916-1947 NGC MS-66 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coin - Original Bag Fragment
The Walking Liberty coin served as the official U.S. half-dollar from 1916 to 1947.
Made from a silver copper alloy, it featured Adolph A. Weinman’s renowned Walking Liberty design. Decades later, this iconic design was reintroduced for the American Eagle Program, becoming the official obverse of U.S. Silver Eagles.
These specific half-dollar coins were retrieved from part of an original shipping bag and subsequently certified by the NGC.
Today, SD Bullion offers Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coins graded by NGC as MS-66 samples. They may have varied mintages from 1916 to 1947, randomly taken from our stocks, according to your inventory availability.

The reverse portrays a Bald Eagle standing on a rock, wings ready for flight, gripping oak branches in its talons.
The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" are inscribed at the top, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the left, and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR" appears below the eagle.
An NGC MS-66 Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company is an independent third-party service that uses the Sheldon Grading Scale to appraise and grade coins according to their condition. The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70.
MS stands for mint state. It refers to a coin struck in the same format as a business circulation coin that remained uncirculated. Grade 66 indicates the coin may have contact marks and signs of wear and tear, but it is above average in quality of strike and preserved original mint luster.
