The $20 Liberty Double Eagle Gold Coin represents the United States' economic strength and cultural legacy. Minted between 1849 and 1907 for broad circulation, it contains 0.9675 Troy oz of gold. 

The fourth Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, James B. Longacre, created the design, which represents the Founding Fathers' core values regarding liberty and strength through the depiction of Lady Liberty and the Heraldic Eagle.

The Design

Lady Liberty’s depiction from the obverse is adorned with a tiara inscribed "LIBERTY." Her effigy is accompanied by thirteen six-pointed stars representing the original Thirteen Colonies and the year of issuance.

The reverse portrays the Heraldic Eagle with spread wings clutching arrows in its talons. The national shield is on its chest, and the banner "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is in its beak. 

The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the coin's face value of "TWENTY DOLLARS" complete the image.
