The Design

The obverse showcases a sniper in action, hidden in the foliage, while peering into his scope. The image is encircled by the inscription “FROM A PLACE YOU WILL NOT SEE” and “COMES A SOUND YOU WILL HEAR,” separated by two shell headstamps. Incused dentils surround the outer rim.

The reverse design reproduces the inner part of an actual scope with target lines. Radial lines complete the surface. “THE SNIPER” is on top, flanked by five shell headstamps on each side, and the round’s description regarding weight, metal content, and purity is on the bottom.
