The Design

The reverse design alludes to the biblical accounts of creation found in Colossians 1:16 and Genesis 1, depicting God in the likeness of Jesus, who brought life into existence in seven days. 

It also includes the inscription "HOLY - - Ⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ - - AGIOS," symbolizing the sacred nature of creation, alongside the Alpha and Omega, representing Christ’s eternal nature as the beginning and the end. Christ’s halo bears the inscription ⲞⲰⲚ, meaning "THE Being," highlighting His role as the source and sustainer of all creation.

On the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Samoa is featured, encircled by the inscriptions “SAMOA,” “2024,” “2 DOLLARS,” “1 TROY OUNCE,” and “999 FINE SILVER,” which indicate the issuing nation, the year of minting, the coin’s face value, weight, fineness, and metal content.
