The Design

The reverse design refers to the biblical narrative of divine creation in Colossians 1:16 and Genesis 1. It portrays God in the likeness of Jesus, who created life on the planet in seven days. 

It also features the inscription "HOLY - - Ⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ - - AGIOS," which serves as a declaration of the sanctity of the act of creation, the Alpha and Omega symbols, representing the eternal nature of Christ as the beginning and the end. The halo surrounding Christ bears the inscription ⲞⲰⲚ, meaning "THE Being," underscoring His role as the source and sustainer of all creation.

The obverse features the Coat of Arms of Samoa, surrounded by the inscriptions “SAMOA,” “2024,” “2 DOLLARS,” “1 TROY OUNCE,” and “999 FINE SILVER.” They refer to the nation that ensures the coin’s legal tender, year of issuance, face value, weight, fineness, and metal content, respectively.

The coin's antique finish darkens the shiny silver tones, giving it a more rustic and natural appearance.
