The fifth 2020 addition of Scottsdale Mint's Biblical Coin Series is now available at SD Bullion. This artistic and captivating collection now includes 35 silver coins depicting biblical stories. Gustave Doré, a master French artist, created each beautiful scene with elegant details that represent each story in a lifelike manner. Since each coin is struck with limited mintage and features a high-relief design, the Biblical Series coins add great value to any collection.

The Scottsdale Mint, known for its exclusive products, produces six annual Biblical series coins over the course of a decade, totaling 60 2-ounce coins in the series. SD Bullion is proud to deliver this collection, which includes their newest coin, Destruction of Leviathan.

The most recent release of the series, Destruction of Leviathan, contains 2 troy ounces of silver struck with .999 purity.  Each coin comes in a gift box that resembles an antique Bible, as well as a certificate of authenticity from Scottsdale Mint. Each coin contains a COA with the bible verse that the coin depicts. The Destruction of Leviathan lists Isaiah 27:1 (MSG) which states “At that time GOD will unsheathe his sword, his merciless, massive, mighty sword. He’ll punish the serpent Leviathan as it flees, the serpent Leviathan thrashing in flight. He’ll kill that old dragon that lives in the sea.”

The reverse face depicts this passage of scripture with God in Heaven pointing a sword down at Leviathan in the sea. Leviathan was an early symbol of evil. The words “DESTRUCTION OF LEVIATHAN” borders the image on the lower half of the coin. The obverse face features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the weight, purity and legal tender value around the image.
