On the reverse, Miley Busiek designed a female eagle cherishing its hatchling under her wing while the male perches their nest. 

The engravings “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the mottos “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” are supplemented by weight, metal content, and face value described as “1 OZ. FINE GOLD—50 DOLLARS.”

NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) is globally recognized for evaluating and attributing grades to coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.

MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin crafted in the format of a business circulation coin. Since it has never been in circulation, the coin has no sign of wear, tear, or scratching, which grants it a 70 grade.

NGC considers “Early Releases” the coins purchased and taken to its evaluation within the first 30 days of their official release.
