The $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coin is widely considered one of the most beautiful American coins ever minted. 

The US Mint produced them for widespread circulation from 1907 to 1933 as the official $20 in the US.

Those issued by the US Mint through the San Francisco Mint carry the “S” mint mark.

St. Gaudens Double Eagles contain .9675 Troy oz of gold content and feature an alluring design, rescued decades later by the American Eagle Program to be on the US Gold Eagle coins.
