The Liberty Eagle Gold Coin is a timeless symbol of American heritage and craftsmanship.

It was the official $10 coin that circulated in the US containing .4837 oz of gold and featuring iconic American symbols, Lady Liberty and the Heraldic Eagle, as designed by Christian Gobrecht, the third Chief Engraver of the US Mint.

The number of Liberty Eagle Gold Coins severely decreased during the economic collapse of the 1930s. Along with other Pre-1933 Gold Coins, they were hoarded and melted down due to the increasing inflation of gold prices.

The Design

The Heraldic Eagle stamps the reverse with the national shield on its chest, holding arrows and oak branches in its talons. Above the eagle, a banner inscribed with the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is displayed.

The inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the coin's face value marked as “TEN D” supplement the image.

The obverse displays Lady Liberty’s bust with a coronet inscribed “LIBERTY.” Her portrait is surrounded by thirteen stars, symbolizing the Thirteen Original Colonies and the year of mintage.
