The designs on American Silver Eagles are not only famous throughout the United States, but also across the globe. Featuring the famed designs from the American Silver Eagles, these ½ oz Walking Liberty Silver Rounds are one of the finest products struck by Highland Mint.
Established in the early 1980s, the Highland Mint is now housed in a 40,000 square foot building in Melbourne, Florida. Their services encompass designing, sculpting and die making, processing precious metals, and tooling of different shapes and sizes. The Mint has released several collectible coins that have become mainstays in American coin collections.
Each of these Walking Liberty Silver Rounds contains ½ troy ounces of 0.999 pure silver. However, unlike American Silver Eagles, these rounds do not carry any face value.
The famed Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916 lends this silver round its name, by gracing the obverses of these Walking Liberty Silver Rounds. This design has become one of the most acclaimed portrayals of Lady Liberty – successfully capturing the foundation of the United States.
Thirteen stars float above the Heraldic Bald Eagle on the reverses of these coins. John Mercanti originally rendered this design in 1986. However, unlike the original design on the American Silver Eagles, these silver rounds bear the word ‘COPY’ stamped onto the striped shield.
These ½ oz Walking Liberty Silver Rounds provide a more economical way of obtaining these world-famous designs. Their relatively lower premiums over spot prices make them an excellent choice for expanding silver product collections or adding 0.999 pure silver to your tangible assets.
