NGC AU-58 $1 Indian Princess Gold Dollar Coin Type II - Random Year
With the gold influx coming from the California Gold Rush, the US Mint introduced a new $1 Gold Dollar denomination in 1849.
The first design, created by James Baron Longacre, featured Lady Liberty wearing a tiara. The design was reworked in 1854, replacing the tiara with a Native American headdress. The new depiction later came to be known as the Indian Princess Type 2 Gold Dollar Coin.
These coins were produced with an alloy of 90% gold and 10% copper, with an actual gold content of .0483 Troy oz.
The Type II design was only minted from 1854 to 1856. Many of the US Mint branches at the time had difficulties minting this coin, so the design was reworked in 1856. That means the surviving population of the Type II Indian Princess Gold Dollar Coin is very thin, hence a jew for any collection of Pre-33 US Gold coins.
Today, SD Bullion offers $1 Indian Princess Gold Dollar Coins graded AU-58 by NGC.

The reverse design showcases the denomination “1 DOLLAR” with the mint year below, in the middle of an agricultural wreath.
