The obverse features a modern reinterpretation of the vintage Uncle Sam U.S. Army recruitment poster from World War I. The reverse design features the Coat of Arms of Niue, the “ONE DOLLAR” denomination, and the “2025” year of issue, surrounded by a design of bullet holes. 

Because of the reverse-proof finish, matte surfaces contrast with the mirror-like design elements. Therefore, the holes are struck in a mirrored finish, giving the illusion that they are real bullet holes.
