The Design

The Coat of Arms of Mongolia is on a central octagon, in high relief, along with information about the coin’s face value, metal content, purity, and weight, which read “1000 Torpor” and “MONGOLIA, 2 OZ .999 SILVER.” The geometric pattern in the background hides the year of issuance. 

Beneath it, only the Falcon’s talons grabbing a branch appear. And because of the exclusive CIT Smartminting® Technology, which imprinted ultra-high relief to its talons, they stand out among the obverse design.

The reverse displays the Saker Falcon, the animal that names the coin. The image consists of a front-face close-up in Ultra-High Relief. That puts the bird's feather, deep staring eyes, and hooked beak in evidence, surpassing the coin’s edge.
