One of these silver bars is the "I Have Not Yet Begun to Fight" silver bar, which embodies the famous declaration made by John Paul Jones, a revered naval commander during the American Revolutionary War in 1779.  

This colored silver bar is struck in a limited edition of 499 units, weighs 1 Troy oz of fine silver, and is available for purchase at SD Bullion.

The Design

This silver bar is a minted ingot, with portrait-oriented design elements imprinted on both sides, rounded corners, reeded edges, and smooth surfaces.

The obverse design is rendered in monochromatic silver and prominently displays the Scottsdale Mint’s logo, which features the company's name alongside a crowned lion's half-face. This image is accompanied by engraved details about the bar’s weight, metal content, and purity, stated as “1 TROY OZ FINE SILVER .999.”

The reverse showcases a standing soldier wearing the official Army uniform and carrying a gun amid reddish background tones. In addition to the bar’s name on top, "I Have Not Yet Begun to Fight," the design contains the serial number at the bottom.

Because of the proof finish, the blank surfaces exhibit a unique mirror-like luster that highlights the matte design elements imprinted on them.
