The Design
Unlike regular circular silver coins, this one shapes the Mouse King. The reverse design showcases, in vibrant colors, this villain in a full-body depiction, wearing a crown, an imperial mantle, and his battle sword.
The obverse design starts with the coin’s issuance on top, “2023”, followed by a single snowflake and a depiction of the beloved former Queen Elizabeth II through an Ian Rank-Broadley portrait.
The inscriptions surrounding Her Majesty’s bust read: “ELIZABETH II,” “SOLOMON ISLANDS,” “2 DOLLARS,” “1 OZ AG 999.9,” referring to the coin’s legal tender, face value, weight, metal content and fineness.
A unique four-digit serial number lies on the bottom.
As a reverse-proof coin, the background has a matte aspect while the design imprints are brilliant, making an elegant contrast.
