2023 1 oz Fender® Stratocaster® Daphne Blue Guitar Silver Coin
After the Surf Green and the Fiesta Red editions, the 2023 Daphne Blue Guitar Coin concludes the nostalgic and exuberant Fender® Stratocaster® Series of Silver Coins.
Among other exquisite customized silver coins, this series also outstands purity levels as they weigh 1 oz of 99.99% pure silver. So, besides being a perfect reproduction of Fender® Stratocaster® Guitars, these coins are valuable physical silver bullion.
Fender® has long produced guitars used over the years by uncountable successful musicians. The Stratocaster® edition, dating back to the 1950s, with the new vibrato and its exclusive format, made Fender® guitars an archetype to the rock’n’roll movement, musicians, and the guitars that succeeded the Stratocaster®.
For those who enjoyed the previous edition and added them to their collection, it is time to say goodbye with a last piece: the 2023 1 oz Fender® Stratocaster® Daphne Blue Guitar Silver Coin.
Coin Highlights
- Contains 1 oz of .9999 pure silver;
- Bears a 2-dollar face value backed by the Solomon Islands;
- Shaped as a Fender® Stratocaster® Guitar - officially licensed;
- With Reverse-Proof finish and Daphne Blue exclusive color;
- Produced by PAMP;
- Last and limited mintage of 6,000 units;
- Unique serial number and assayer’s mark;
- The reverse features the former monarch, Queen Elizabeth II’s portrait.
The Design
Following the series standards, the coins have a guitar shape, with their obverse reproducing a Fender® Stratocaster®.
Fender®’s trademark of using exclusive colors in their guitars is also copied in the coin series. The 2023 edition displays the Daphne Blue color, initially famous because of the Blue GM Cadillac in 1958 and in 1960 used in Fender® guitars.
The reverse-finish polishment applied to the coin’s surface outstands its brightness. Through this kind of polishing, the coin’s background gets frosted effects, while the image imprinted brings a mirror-like luster, highlighting the design details.
The inscriptions on this side refer to the coin’s weight, fineness, and metal content through: “1 oz 999.9 Ag.”
The reverse design features Queen Elizabeth II’s right profile, created by Ian Rank-Broadley. Also standard to the series, circular patterns, like sound waves, repeat over the surface.
Besides Her Majesty’s portrait, additional engravings are “2023,” “ELIZABETH II,” “SOLOMON ISLANDS,” “2 DOLLARS,” and a unique four-digit serial number.
