However, the Royal Canadian Mint may have produced the cutest rendition of the design. Its Lunar Year of the Dragon Silver Coin has a unique folk-art design, specially made to charm collectors, and differs from other coins with the same motif.
The Canadian Lunar Series reaches its 3rd strike with the Dragon coin. As a standard for such an internationally recognized mint, the coins are legal tender, made of the purest metal content, with the most delicate design details and modern security features to ensure their authenticity.

The Design
The obverse showcases a mature portrait of the former Queen Elizabeth II, which, besides Her name, features her reigning period through the engraving “1952-2022” and the inscription “D.G.REGINA,” which in Latin, means “By the Grace of God, Queen.”
The reverse design is artist Jai Paek’s creation, giving the Wood Dragon a happy portrait through a folk-art style.
The image contains the Chinese symbol of the Dragon on the left and the artist’s initials “JP” discreetly settled on the right.
The nation’s name and the coin’s issuance are on top and read “CANADA 2024.” Its denomination of “15 DOLLARS” is on the bottom.
The coin has serrated edges and a proof finish, which means its background has a mirror-like luster, while the images are imprinted with a matte appearance.
