The 38th release under the Mexican Libertad Silver Coin program marks the start of a fresh year as it has done so for the past few decades. These 2019 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertads feature the gorgeous and familiar designs that both investors and collectors now instantly recognize and love.
Established in 1535, the Mexican Mint is one of the oldest minting institutions in the Americas. Today, it serves as Mexico’s National Mint and is called the La Casa de Moneda de Mexico. Not only is it responsible for striking circulating currency in Mexico but it also produces gorgeous gold and silver bullion products.
Each of these coins contains 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver. They're also backed by the Banco de Mexico, Mexico's Central Bank, indicating the support of a sovereign government.
An elegant portrayal of the Winged Victoria graces the reverses of these coins. She is known as the Mexican Angel of Independence and is an iconic symbol of Mexican independence. The image depicts her garments billowing around her, as she stretches her arms upward with outspread wings. In the backdrop of this rendition, the two famous volcanoes from Mexico make an appearance - Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl.
On the reverses, Mexican Silver Libertads highlight the Mexican Coat of Arms – a ferocious eagle tearing into a snake with its sharp beak. Additionally, all the historical coats of arms used by Mexico over the years encircle the image of the current Mexican Coat of Arms.
The 2019 1oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are ideal for both collectors and investors as they will add pure silver to your tangible assets and allow you to complete your Mexican Libertad sets as well.
