Buy 2017 One Twentieth Ounce Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins
Manufactured by the Royal Canadian Mint, the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins are one of the oldest bullion coins in existence. This 2017 Year iteration of this renowned Gold Coin contains 1/20 Troy ounce gold at an astounding .9999 purity level, each of which is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Hence, these gold coins display no sign of wear and tear, although some may contain minor flaws or marks which occur during the coin striking process.
The Royal Canadian Mint, established in 1908, is the sovereign Mint of Canada. Interestingly, it was formed to help eliminate dependency from the Royal Mint in the United Kingdom, so it could independently strike coins for Canada. As of now, two minting facilities exist, one in Ottawa and the other in Winnipeg.
On the obverse of the coin, the elegant image of Queen Elizabeth II is imprinted. Designed by Susanna Blunt in 2003, the image shows Her Majesty's right profile portrait. Also written at the bottom is the face value of the coin - 1 Dollar (CAD) backed by the Canadian Government.
The reverse side of the coin showcases the iconic maple leaf along with the purity of .9999 and the weight 1/20 oz of the coin. Moreover, the maple leaf contains the year of the issue which is only visible under magnification along with the laser engraved radial lines to combat counterfeiting.
Being one of the lightest coins in the 2017 release, this 1/20 ounce Maple Leaf Gold Coin is a brilliant way to kickstart your precious metal investment portfolio. Moreover, it is an essential purchase for collectors who wish to maintain complete collections of every release of the Gold Maple Leaf Coin. Lastly, since these coins are accepted legal tender in Canada, their quality, purity and finish are guaranteed to be unmatched.
